For folks in Vancouver and Victoria, sign up here to volunteer for activities on PRGT.

In a stunning betrayal, Premier David Eby’s government gave the green light to American billionaires planning to build another huge fracked gas pipeline across B.C. this June.

PRGT is a proposed fracked gas pipeline planned for northern B.C. It does not have consent from multiple Indigenous communities along the route. American billionaires want the pipeline built to support Trump's ‘drill, baby, drill’ agenda. To them, this pipeline is just another means to an end. They profit regardless of the damage to land, water and people’s health.

But the fight is not over.

Our communities have a role to play in keeping PRGT pipeline -- and its MAGA financiers -- in the public eye in the wake of its approval and in the lead-up to construction. At Dogwood, our goal is to work together to build active popular support -- more members of our community speaking out and taking action to pressure government, support legal resistance, pressure financiers, and stand in solidarity with frontline communities.

If you are interested in volunteering as part of the Dogwood team in Vancouver or Victoria to stop PRGT, sign up here! We'll share volunteer opportunities as they come up.

Zombie FAQ:

What is the route for the zombie walk? Details will be provided to registrants closer to the date.

Do I need to wear a costume? If you have zombie attire, feel free to wear it! Otherwise, please dress for the weather, ideally in black, grey or other neutral colours. We'll have extra zombie accessories, such as 'blood'-spattered t-shirts and shredded button-downs. At the staging area, we'll also provide basic zombie make-up (white and black face paint).

Do I need to bring a sign? You're more than welcome to! We'll also have pre-made banners and props. We'll also have leaflets and posters you can help distribute.

Is this a rally? Will there be speakers? No, this is a zombie march and dance party. We'll be dragging our undead limbs through the community, and concluding with a monster mash boogie outside Heyman's office. No dancing skills or experience necessary!

2025 Data Entry

Accurate data entry is a key ingredient in campaign success!

We have several paper pledge forms ('petitions') based on our different campaigns. Be sure to select the correct data entry link -- the title/text on your paper form should match the data entry site.

Please note: On both forms, the "date" box refers to the date of the canvass (not when you are entering it). The "event type" should be indicated by the volunteer (most often table/event or street).

1. "Stop the MAGA Pipeline" -- the campaign to stop PRGT pipeline

Enter data here: https://www.tfaforms.com/5182877

2. "Keep Gas in the Ground" -- the campaign to end fracking in B.C.

Enter data here: https://www.tfaforms.com/4990806b

3. "Safer Homes" -- the campaign to keep gas out of new buildings in B.C.

Enter data here: https://www.tfaforms.com/5126433

FAQ

What do I do once I'm finished entering all my data?

If you have paper forms, please mark them in some way (star in the corner, strike through) and store them securely where they won't get lost (an envelope, box or folder is best!). Get in touch with your Dogwood staff contact to return them (drop off in-person or mail to Dogwood head office).

If you have digital/scanned forms, please email your Dogwood staff contact to confirm they have been entered, and delete the files from your computer.

What do I do if the writing is illegible?

Please mark (highlight, star) any entries you cannot read and set them aside while you finish data entry. Do not guess or half-enter the person's data. Scan or take a photo and send to your Dogwood staff contact.

What do I do if someone did not provide full info (missing phone, email or postal code)?

Please mark (highlight, star) any entries that are incomplete and set aside while you finish data entry. Scan or take a photo and send to your Dogwood staff contact for instructions.

If you have any questions while entering data, please contact Paige ([email protected]).

What else you can do:
signed up on Take B.C. Beyond Gas 2021-10-27 13:13:25 -0700

Fracked gas is the cause of most of B.C.'s rising emissions, whether it's for export or to heat homes and public buildings. If we don’t stop the B.C. government’s plan to massively expand this industry with billions of our tax dollars, the climate impacts will be catastrophic.

It's going to take a grassroots army to convince the B.C. government to act at the speed and scale we need to survive the climate crisis. With less than a decade left, we need all hands on deck.

Sign up to volunteer and an organizer will be in touch.
